I welcome you to Saint-Lizier, at the foot of the Ariège Pyrenees.

I offer accommodations for 2 to 10 people, year round, for a weekend, a week or 2-week stay. (See table below for prices adapted to your requirements.)

In Saint-Lizier you’ll be in one of the most beautiful village of France with its Bishops’ Palace, two cathedrals and a magnificent cloister that are testament to a rich past that will delight history lovers.

This charming village already attracts many vacationers who for 30 years have been flocking to the annual chamber music festival, which takes place between the 1st and 15th of August and features world-renowned artists.

For gastronomes there is an excellent restaurant at the bottom of my street and numerous others just a few kilometres away.

Saint Lizier is 2 kms from Saint Girons, a small town of 5000 inhabitants that has all necessary shops and services.

You’ll be able to take advantage of all the Pyrenees have to offer all year round with many walks departing from Saint Lizier or Saint Girons in summer, and in winter the Guzet ski resort 40 kms away is open from December through March.

The high mountains for hiking are 20 to 25 kms by car.

As Saint-Lizier is on a hill, much of its charm lies in the narrow, steep streets. Free parking is available in the car park 50m away; however, I can offer closed garage under certain conditions.

My house is old and full of character, and has been restored with respect for traditions yet with all modern comforts (central heating, insulation, ventilation, TV, etc.)

Description
On the ground floor, a covered entrance serves as a terrace and gives access to a 35 m2 studio equipped with:
- a kitchen corner with bar, refrigerator, microwave, clothes washer
- an open fireplace, TV
- a couch that opens into a double bed
- a bathroom with shower, sink and WC

A little vaulted door opens onto a corridor with a staircase leading to the first bedroom. This room has good sun exposure via large windows with a panoramic view of the mountains and the river. It has a double bed and a mezzanine with 2-3 single beds and a private bathroom with shower, sink and wc.

The second duplex bedroom is 35m2 and faces south/southwest, also with good sun exposure, and has a double bed and 2 single beds. There is a bathroom in the corridor with shower, sink and wc.

All the rooms are heated by electric radiators.

Children can play on the shaded square “La Vigne de l’Evêche” situated 100 m from the house.

You may have access to my garden upon request, especially during the month of May when the roses are in bloom.
